Wednesday Nights

One Wednesday nights, we gather at 6:30pm for a time of Adult Study. Our children gather for their Hands to Hearts programing, and our adults gather for their weekly Adult Study conversation. On the 3rd Wednesday of the month, we also gather at 5:30pm for our monthly Family Night Dinner.

Throughout the year, different people in our congregation lead our discussions on Wednesday nights. Here is list of our recent studies.

Linda Reynolds led a three week discussion on Leslie Weatherhead's book The Will of God, you can click on book's title to view it on Amazon's website for purchase.

Our previous Interim Pastor, Rev. Shellie Riggs Jordan led discussions during the weeks of Lent and Advent during her time preaching at the church. These discussions allowed the congregation to explore her sermon series through more in-depth conversations.

Different people in our congregation have also went on trips pertaining to Biblical stories and locations. Jim and Frankie led a discussion based on their trip to Israel, and Tami Johanningsmeier led a discussion based on her trip to Greece.

We have also explored a particular book of the Bible on Wednesday nights. Linda Reynolds led a series of lessons on the Book of Galatians and the Book of James. Rev. Scot Johanningsmeier lead a series of lessons on the Book of Philemon and the Book of Romans. Our pastor has also led a lesson series through the Nooma video series by Rob Bell.

We have also used this time of study to learn more about our Baptist history and heritage, and we have used this time to worship and study through hymn singing and a pastoral homily.
