Children's Ministry

Information

The children’s ministry of Culbertson Baptist Church ministers to children ages birth-12.  We seek to provide opportunities for children to learn about Christ through Bible study, worship, and missions education.

Our Sunday school classes are as follows: Nursery: ages birth-2, Preschool: ages 3-5, Early Elementary: K-2nd grades, and Upper Elementary: 3th-6th grades.

On Wednesday nights, our children participate in Hands to Hearts (our Children’s Programing). During this time together, they learn about God’s work in the world and discover how they join that work through one’s faith in Christ. They often participate in various projects that show God’s love in different ways. They may make encouraging notes to the elderly of our church and community one week and make a craft reflecting the night’s Biblical lesson to share with their family and friends.

We also offer opportunities for families to spend time together through various outings throughout the year.  Each school year, we have cookout and party to kick-off the school year and to kick-off summer break. We have our Spring Fling each year on the Saturday before Easter and our Vacation Bible School in July.  At the end of October (typically the Wednesday before Halloween), we host our Annual Trunk or Treat as a safe alternative to Halloween.

If you would like more information about the Children’s Ministry at our church, you may email Dr. Danny Russell, our pastor.

Children's Worship

During the Sunday morning worship service, the children come forward for a Children's Sermon. Following the Children's Sermon, children in pre-school through 2nd grade leave the sanctuary to attend our Children's Worship programming.

This special time of worship  is taught by a group of volunteers, and it meets in the Children’s Ministry section of the educational wing at the lower level of the building. Currently, the class is using the Dig In curriculum by Group Publishing. You may follow this link (Dig In) to learn more about the curriculum.
